Richard Brain is a Conductor based in North London, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. His portfolio includes Director of Chapel Music at The Peterborough School, Director of Music of Christ Church Southgate, and Musical Director of Barnet Choral Society and Bishop's Stortford Choral Society. Richard directs hundreds of singers every week, exploring sacred and secular music from the Renaissance, through the great Baroque and Classical oratorios, to works for children's choirs and modern commissioned works.
He studied Choral Conducting on the renowned MA Course at the Royal Academy of Music where he was awarded the Irene Burcher Prize in 2013. Previously, Richard was a Tenor Choral Scholar in Gloucester and then Exeter Cathedral Choirs, before singing as a Lay Clerk in St Albans Cathedral.
